Hi, I’m Leah!

As a therapist, I bring warmth, empathy, and genuine care to every session.

Clients often describe me as someone who puts them at ease and creates a safe space for exploration and growth. I believe that therapy is not just about addressing symptoms but about embarking on a meaningful healing journey that honors your unique experiences and inner strength.

My approach is both gentle and effective, focusing on helping you let go of negativity and self-limiting beliefs while embracing self-acceptance, peace, and more fulfilling relationships.

My journey to becoming a therapist began in a surprising way. I initially pursued a career in music but encountered an injury that led me to change direction.

Through this unexpected transition, I discovered that helping others through their suffering can be incredibly rewarding and meaningful.

This personal experience of navigating change and finding new purpose informs my work with clients who are facing their own challenges and transitions.

With over 12 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I've had the privilege of supporting adults through various challenges including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, grief, and life transitions.

I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and continue to expand my knowledge through additional training in specialized areas like ADHD, anxiety, and trauma.

I've completed both Level 1 and Level 2 training in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or "tapping"), an evidence-based approach that combines cognitive elements with acupoint stimulation to help release negative emotions and trauma.

Beyond the Therapy Room

When I'm not in sessions, you might find me enjoying nature, appreciating music and art, or volunteering with my children's school orchestra program and my church.

I believe that who I am as a person deeply influences my work as a therapist. I'm naturally curious about people and cultures, having traveled extensively and being part of an interracial marriage that has enriched my perspective and appreciation for diversity.

My own journey has included working through self-limiting beliefs that began in childhood.

Through self-awareness, insight, and skill development, I've experienced firsthand how we can overcome challenges and develop a more positive relationship with ourselves and the world around us.

This personal growth continues to inspire my work and reinforces my belief in every person's capacity for healing and transformation.
